The ski season is off to a great start with early openings for Vail November 14, and Beaver Creek Saturday (November 17). Vail Mountain has so many tracks from ski patrol and locals who hike up the hill to ski down that it looks like a normal winter scene, not the beginning of the season. Needless to say, everyone is happy about the snow and psyched to take some turns.
That enthusiasm also extends to the real estate market. October had 202 sales in Eagle County , compared to 163 last year. The median sales price for the month was up 14.8% and the average sales price was $1,233,360, an 11.3% increase. Days on the market dropped 12.4% from 2017. There were 12 sales over $3 million, with one each for $8.2 million in Vail and Beaver Creek.

Upcoming events to note are the Birds of Prey World Cup races at Beaver Creek November 29 – December 2, sure to inspire mere mortals to carve their turns. Snow Days December 13 – 16 in Vail brings live music on-mountain and free concerts by Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Shakey Graves, a festival village, demos and more. Don’t miss the fun of the early season with good times on the mountain and off.
Wishing you a Happy Thanksgiving filled with family, friends and fun.
Warm regards, Carolyn
